Helsinki exhibition, Sello Library

Sep 21, 2022

September 2022

On the occasion of the collective art exhibition organized by Artestruttura and Divitas at the Sello Library in Helsinki (one of the largest and most popular in Europe) I was selected to exhibit two works: “Paul in Venice” and “Diana – The Prettiest Star”.

Finnish public libraries are true places of social aggregation. Libraries are visited from a very young age, with musical and tactile laboratories, up to high school, through collaboration with schools, where specialized staff recommends readings suitable for age and content. Everyone is welcome in the library, the elderly are often the first users of the day, many children and teenagers spend the whole afternoon there to do homework and meet friends. Finnish libraries present modern design solutions, with great attention to practicality and safety. And what's more, they do not only offer lending and consultation services: it is possible to participate in cultural events of all kinds, including art exhibitions.
