METROPOLITAN LANDSCAPES

- or “The spirit of places” -
Places are not simple portions of space in which man's actions take place; they are the echo of the passage of centuries, in the stratifications of nature and human history
Places reveal the relationship between man and nature, friendship or hostility, but also the relationship between man and his history, the values he believes in and that change over time.
Like people, places also welcome us or reject us, making us feel like inhabitants or foreigners.
In my paintings, the metropolis is the protagonist, it is a glass kaleidoscope that deprives the observer of a clear orientation.
But, as in a journey, my work modifies past balances and seeks new relationships.
