Portraits

The portrait is always the most difficult subject.
As Henry Cartier Bresson said, it is a question mark placed on someone, whose secret you propose to reveal.
You have to choose the framing, the direction of the gaze, a meaningful clothing, a narrative context that suggests a story.
And, incredibly, the final result is always a surprise, it imposes itself with the force of an unexpected answer that comes from deep within.
